1. Purpose of Listening to the Word of God
-To receive grace.
-Our minds need to receive Inspiration.
-After receiving Inspiration, the power of God's word needs to change us.

2. Preaching the Word of God
-Do not think from human motives on what to preach.
-Pray to God earnestly and deeply by asking Him what He desires for us to hear.
-Asking God for help that the word may be preached truthfully.
-Making sure God's power is in the word so that it will not judge us.

3. When Listening to the Word of God
-Do not hear it as a form of rhetoric.
-Do not expect it to be of some detailed formation.
-Do not desire it to be refreshing and delightful to the heart.
-We should get the real facts from the word.
