Bible: Genesis 1:1-31
Title: God’s Creation of Heaven and Earth
Main Verse:  “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1-31)

Verse 1
The “beginning” mentioned here comes after the “beginning” mentioned in John 1:1 and it is the period when God created all things.  The “beginning” stated in John 1:1 is talking about the period when God predestined everything.  The “heaven and earth” mentioned here is not talking about the spiritual realm but it means this universe.

Verse 3
The “light” here is talking about the material light.  Did existence come out of nothing?  Or did nothing come out of existence?  First was existence.  Then there was nothing.  God first existed.  Since all things were created from where there was nothing there was existence.

Verse 5
Some people interpret about night and day as follows.  “A night is one period and a day is one period.  We do not know how long that period is.”  This is wrong.  “There was evening and there was morning” is one day just like the 24 hour day we have right now.  The 4 seasons that God arranged at the time of creation have not changed.
Verses 9-13
Additional creations were made.  Re-creations were made by utilizing what was once already created.  God does not go contrary to His position nor does He disregard and abandon what He once created but accomplished everything through those things.  It is here where we can sneak a look at God’s nature of character.  God commanded the land to bring forth vegetations.

Verse 24
Animals were commanded to bring forth.  The land was able to bring forth animals and vegetations because it obeyed according to God’s command.  Though God directly created it He gave authority to the land to make it seem like the land created it.  The nature of God who is holding onto us and working can be found and seen.  It was at that time that the land which received authority from God was able to bring forth animals and vegetations.  That is not the case now.

In the same way God gave us a period right now to accomplish our salvation and mature in the measure of the fullness of Christ.  This is absolutely impossible with men but it can be done when God holds onto us and accomplishes this at the time.  Once this opportunity passes by it cannot be eternally accomplished.  If the salvation that needs to be accomplished is not accomplished today at this time then it cannot be eternally accomplished.  It can only be accomplished by being obedient to God’s command.  When the land at that time was obedient to God’s command by producing it belonged to the land.  It was the glory of the land.  If the land did not have animals and vegetations it has no glory and it has no work to do.  Also the vegetations and animals cannot live apart from the land.  In the same way by being obedient to God’s command one can produce result that is eternal glory to oneself a work for oneself and it becomes one’s own eternally.  Therefore it is at this present time where eternal salvation can be accomplished.

Verses 16-19
God created this universe and His focus is on the earth.  By focusing on the earth everything else was created.  Existence after God exists on the earth and they are being nurtured on the earth.  Therefore we cannot believe in the saying that there is life and existence outside the earth.  In the universe the saints that are chosen are first.  Next is the earth.

Verse 26
Man was created in the image of God.  The form of character that has the attributes of God was made and this is the spirit of man.  Therefore the special attributes of man being made are as follows.  First God held a council.  Second man was created in the image of God.  Third man was entrusted to mandate all the creations and this right was entrusted to the spirit.  Therefore man’s value is in the spirit.

:1절에
여기 "태초는" 요 1:1절에 말씀하신 태초보다 후로서 하나님이 천지만물을 창조하신 그 때를 말한다. 요1:1절에 말씀하신 "태초는" 하나님이 모든 것을 예정하신 그 때를 말한다. 여기 "천지는" 영계를 말하는 것이 아니고 이 우주를 말한다.

3절에
"빛은" 물질의 빛을 말한다. 무에서 유가 나왔는지? 유에서 무가 나왔는지? 유가 먼저요. 무가 후이다. 하나님이 먼저 계셨고. 아무 것도 없는 가운데에서 모든 것을 창조하시므로 존재들이 있게 되었다.

5절에
밤과 낮에 대해서 어떤 사람은 다음과 같이 해석하고 있다. "밤도 한 시기요. 낮도 한 시기라 그 기간은 얼마나 긴지 모른다"고 말을 한다. 이것은 잘못된 것이다. "저녁이 되며 아침이 되니" 이것은 하루인데 지금과 같은 24시간 하루를 말한다. 창조 당시에 하나님이 정하신 4계절도 변함이 없다.

9∼13절에.
추가 창조를 했다. 한번 창조하신 것을 다시 이용해서 재창조를 했다. 하나님은 위치를 거슬리신 일이 없고 하나님이 한번 만드신 것은 멸시하지 않고 버리지 않고 그로 말미암아 무엇이 이루어지게 하신다. 여기서 하나님의 인격성을 엿볼 수가 있다. 하나님이 땅에게 명령해서 식물을 내라고 했으며

24절에 보면
동물을 내라고 했다. 하나님이 명령하신 대로 땅이 순종하여 동·식물을 내었다. 하나님은 직접 창조하시되 땅에게 권리를 주어서 땅이 창조한 것같이 했다. 이는 하나님이 우리를 붙드시고 일하시는 성격을 찾아 볼 수가 있다. 그때에만 땅이 하나님에게 권리를 방아서 동식물을 낼 수가 있었지 지금은 안 된다.

이와 같이 하나님이 지금 우리에게 구언 이루는 시기를 주시고 그리스도의 장성한 분량에 이르게 하시는데 이것은 인간으로서는 도저히 할 수 없으나 하나님이 우리를 붙드시고 이것을 이루시는 때라 할 수 있다. 이 시기가 지나면 영원히 이루지 못한다. 오늘 이 시간에 이룰 구원을 이루지 못하면 영원히 이루지 못한다. 이루는 것은 하나님의 명령에 순종하므로만 이룬다. 그 때에 땅이 하나님의 명령대로 순종하므로 만들어 낸 것은 땅의 것이요. 땅의 영광이다. 땅이 만일에 동식물이 없으면 영광도 없고 할 일도 없을 것이다.
또한 식물이나 동물도 땅을 떠나서는 살 수가 없다. 이와 같이 하나님의 명령에 순종하여 맺은 결과는 영원히 자기 영광이요 자기의 일거리요 영원히 자기 것이다. 따라서 영원한 구원이 지금에 이루어진다.

16∼19절에
하나님은 이 우주를 창조하셨는데 그 중심은 지구다. 지구를 중심해서 모든 것을 창조하셨다. 하나님 다음 존재자는 지구에 존재하고 지구에서 육성하신다. 따라서 지구 외에 생물이 존재한다고 하는 말을 믿어서는 안 된다. 우주는 선택받은 성도가 처음이요. 그 다음은 지구다.

26절에
사람을 하나님의 형상대로 지었다. 하나님의 속성을 가진 인격체로 만들었는데 이것이 사람의 영이다. 따라서 사람을 지으신 특수성은 첫째 하나님이 회의를 여시고 둘째 하나님의 형상대로 지으셨고 셋째 만물을 사람에게 맡겨 위임 통치하게 했는데 이 통치권을 영에게 맡겼다. 따라서 사람의 가치는 영에 있다.
